Why does your heart rate slow when you vomit?

I need to know this for an anatomy exam tomorrow!

Report as

The heart usually slows down so as to let your stomach squeeze together and let the valve connecting your stomach to your throat to open up. If it sped up, it would only create tension rather than relaxation.
