To stop letting people take advantage of you, you need to think about in what ways you are being taken advantage of. Start putting your foot down and taking up for yourself and get to know people before you trust them. Although we would like to believe that all people are good, some still have bad tendencies.

Learn to say no. Don't be afraid of their reaction, step up and show them who's boss.
