You can go back but you have to present yourself before a judge to explain why you did not attend court when you were supposed to. You could also get in touch with your lawyer and he will guide you on how to go about setting another court date.
ya i agree with joanie46 i live in australia and i had a speeding ticket in united states that i had to go to court for but i called ahead of time to the courts and when i arrived they checked my records but the courts excused it for 10 days
Joanie is right. When you failed to return for your court date, a bench warrant was issued for your arrest. That warrant is still waiting for you. Bench warrants don't get lost and nobody forgets. I believe that border officials get that information and keep it handy in their computer system. Contact a lawyer to sort this out. You must address this and have a good reason for fleeing the justice system without notifying the court of the problem. It costs a lot less and is more convenient to be law-abiding.
