interval training sprint for 30 seconds and the jog for 60 seconds. Do a 8 repetitions to start with and work your way up to 15 reps. Once you reach that increase your sprinting time. These are sometimes call 30/60's or 60/180's .

Grow a pair and rather than ask how go out there and run. The more u run the faster you will get. Push yourself... wear ankle weights.
Have a someone release a pack of rabid dogs to chase you during your practice runs. Just be sure to allow yourself an adequate head start. ;)
