Mash, because of the final episode where everyone went home.There were many great actors, that appeared on the show over the years.Such as Wayne Rodgers, Alan Alda, Jamie Farr, McLean Stevenson,Harry Morgan, Gary Burghoff, and Loretta Switt

It's a cool TV show about guys in a helicopter battling the bad guys, starring Ernest Borgnine. And it's not a comedy, but I did notice that the person who asked the question about the best TV show ever edited his question to insert the word "comedy".

a classic; I LOVE LUCY. there are many good tv shows past and present and I think it narrows too many possibilities by just choosing one

modern family is a fantastic comedy and one of my favorites. The writing is excellent and the cast a perfect ensemble. I guess I chose I Love Lucy because the comedy seems to be timless

exactly!! best choice.. im with ya. but the writing is so much more sophisticated these days. i have friends that are writers and one that writes movies that i help with. its a different world i suspect.. but the same

My 21 year old and I have been watching the late night showings of the original Bob Newhart Show. It's amazing how well that comedy has held up over the last 30 years!
