A similar question was posed a few days ago: Which is better, Rockstar or Redbull?
Actually, neither. You're better off drinking green tea for a natural boost of energy (Redbull and tea both have 80 milligrams of caffeine). It takes just a few more minutes to kick in but it stays in your system longer. Plus, recently doctors have found that consuming energy drinks on a regular basis irritates the lining of your esophagus and stomach, causing bleeding ulcers and other negative side effects (especially in developing teenagers).
Plus, tea supplies antioxidants, so instead of being detrimental to your health, it can indeed improve it.
The results of if sugar free energy drinks have on your health if you drink it everyday is said to have no short term effect health wise. Most of the energy drinks are FDA approved but still need to be studied more due to the energy drink has not been out for too long. The studying of long term effects are still being made. Until then at this time your health should be okay when it comes to energy drinks unless studies prove otherwise.
Personally, I do not think that ONE sugar-free, carb-free energy drink a day is bad for one's health. There are many people that believe energy drinks are evil and bad. Although the excessive caffeine, ginseng and other stimulants can increase your blood pressure there has been no solid scientific link between health problems with ONE energy drink per day. NOW, if you were to drink many then yes it could be a problem. Also, some people are very sensitive to stimulants so caution is needed. If you are not already a caffeine drinker (i.e. coffee) then drink a small amount of an energy drink before gulping down the whole XL size in 2 minutes.
There might be added stress on the adrenal glands that will create a snowball like effect on your energy levels making the drink almost a must each day. You might want to look into Yerba mate drinks or a b complex vitamin.
Sugar-free foods/drinks replace sugar with aspartame, which is very bad for you. Also, it can cause diarrhea. Also, energy drinks contain lots of caffeine and stimulants, which you should take in limited quantity.
