I have a male ball python that is about 7 1/2 - 8 yrs old and is almost 6ft or he could be (haven't measured him in awhile) & I'm not trying to brag but he's well cared for and fed no more then 3 wks apart with at least 5 mice. Males are a good choice if uvve never had a snake b4 b/c they're more docile especially if u get them from a nice pet store or breeder. Sometimes mine gets a little freaked with quick movements by something he's not sure of so don't get discourage if ur snake doesn't liked to be touched at first; he'll warm up to u :)
A well fed and taken care of ball python can reach 5 or 6 feet long. Typically a ball python will reach 4ft with a body that is nicely rounded. They are very picky eaters that feed on amphibians, lizards and other snake not recognizing mice.
