Does anybody know what is in the packets of fresh flower food? This is the stuff the florist gives you when you buy cut flowers.

is this stuff toxic? how does it work on the cut flowers?

The fresh flower food packets that you get from the florist when you buy fresh flowers contains a food supplement and a antibacterial agent. It is not toxic to your plants. If the packet is missing, you can mix 1 tsp sugar (food supplement), 1 qt water, and 1 tsp bleach (slows the growth of bacteria).
