A good laptop for around $500
Our old laptop just died on us so we are on the hunt for a new one. Sadly, I have no clue about the guts of laptops or computers. I know what I want my laptop to do, I just do not know what to look for. Here is a list of what the laptop will be used for:
Basic browsing, email, FB, google, YouTube, etc.
Watching movies, DVD, etc
Some gaming but nothing to hard cord, stuff like WoW and ToonTown (my son loves that game)
DVD burning optical drive
I would like the largest screen possible
I don't really care about the look of the laptop so it doesn't have to be pretty.
I would like to stay under $500 if possible but I'd rather pay more for a quality laptop that will last a few years.
As far as what kind of processor to get or intel whatever, I haven't the slightest clue.
I have tried to do research on the internet about this stuff but I simply do not understand what any of it means. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
