I don't think you can cause your dream is 'based' on thoughts that your brain just processes. And you dream with your subconscious mind so your not really fully aware of what your actually going to dream of.
okaye i looked tyhis up and did a lot of reserch what you want to do is called lucid dreaming. you need to think about something when you fall asleep then u will dream. but you need to figure out that your dreaming in the dream it takes practice but it works
I've heard on TV that keeping a dream diary helps you have better dreams. You keep a record of your dreams every morning. I'm not sure if it helps you have dreams that you want to have though. But it might work you should try! :D

it is relativly easy! you have to give yourself an habit! Like every once in a while. like every 30 minutes, you take the time to look around you and tell yourself if it's real or not! To apply the locations, buldings, cars and try to rationalise where you are. Do that only for 15 seconds every 30 minutes.
At one point it will become such an habit that you will be doing the same thing in dreams!!!
Remember that if you tell yourself that it's hard. Your brain will fetch the meaning of "hard". As a result it will expect something complex and long!
Your brain is like a 2nd entity, If you convince that entity that something is, it will act accordingly!!!
It takes alot of work. You have to get to a state of mind where you have little or no stress. To lucid dream, you also have to be in a light sleep. Like with anesthesia, it's not possible to lucid dream under that because it puts you into a deep deep sleep where you can barely dream period due to lack if thought
It's called lucid dreaming. What you do is you Lie down on your bed and do not move for at least an hour. You need to ignore all functions of your body, stay completely still AND DO NOT MOVE. Soon your body will fall asleep but your mind will stay awake. This will mean you will be paralyzed until your mind falls asleep. In this stage you can dream whatever you want to for A couple of hours. This can be completely horrifying too. While you are dreaming, you will become paralyzed for a couple of minutes if you wake up suddenly. If this happens you will expiriance hallucinajations. This might mean that you will have a feeling that you might of been raped, abducted by the fourth kind, ect. And pass out from fear.
My husband does all the time. When your dream is taking you to a place you don't want to go, you rewind it like film to a point where you can let the dream take off to a different tangent. Your dream will then take control again in a tangent of your desired choice. If you try to change when your already at a place that you don't want to be it hard. But you must rewind.
