I don't think the world is going to end either. Not in the way one would expect anyway with spectacular catastrophes happening all at once. Sometimes I think a WAY OF LIFE is going to come to an end, and I believe that process has already begun. What do I mean? Too difficult, time and character consuming to answer here. Best not to worry about it.

I heard that the only thing the Mayans predicted was the movie 2012. Seems like their calender should have ended when the conquistadors wiped them out.
