Does anyone know the statute of limitations on an old cell phone bill?

I had an account in 2006 with T-Mobile and switched 30 days before my contract was up and now 6 years later I'm being hounded for $200.00 early termination fee...nasty abusive collection agency is harrasing me!

The statute of limitation for the bill is stated to be two years. This applies in the case of a debt collector filing a lawsuit beyond or after the statute of limitations and this is considered as a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act (FDCPA). This then means that you can sue the debt collector or the collection firm for violating the act and you can have a lawsuit of your own. This is as stated at alabamaconsumerlawblog.com.
