umm... if u are young YES, if you are doing it for religious causes, i dont think so becaue my tutor is jewish and she celebrates a holiday were u fast BUT you have huge feasts before and after, if you are an adult and tring to lose weight it called EXERCISE, SALADS, WEIGHT WATCHERS, AND LESS CANDY!!
The crazy thing about life is that it is backwards all the way if you go a day with out eating you will actually began to get fat lol your body will start storing food ass fat to survive … just eat something nothing too big
Okay, PLEASE read this answer, I'll explain why it isn't healthy. Your body naturally stores fat in special cells called fat cells. These cells are able to transform fat into energy and then release it into your body...when it's needed. When you get hungry, your body is telling you that it needs food. But when you ignore that demand, your body basically panics. the fat cells try to quickly convert the fat into energy, but, if you don't eat for a long enough time, the cells go too fast and end up traveling through the body. They can accumulate in organs and blood vessels, and from there they are able to cause health issues. A day wouldn't be too much stress on your body, but when you choose to eat measly meals every now and then, that's when this problem can arise.
No it is really healthy! It gives your digestive system a break. But you need to drink alot of water and not be very active on that day. You can get worn out and even dizzy, so it is goods to fast on a day where you can relax.
Its deffiatly not heathly but i do it all the time. If you do a sport like me and your going to not eat then drink alot of water or gatorade. You should eat though. It'll mess with your body if you dont

Nah. Youll be fine. Ive heard of wrestlers who barely eat anything. (silly fools. While they are starving and becoming weak, i will eat and become strong. Then we'll see how not eating is good for you) You will survive. Your body doesnt need alot to survive.
Going without eating for 24 hours if done too frequently may program your body to store fat. As far as I know when it's done for religious purposes it's frequency is both conditioned & regulated by tradition.
Your body will slowly deteriorate. If you lose all the fat on your body, than it will start eating at your brain, since that is also fat. Eventually you will have high health issues. I recommend you start eating and take tests to see if you may be anorexic.
i read an article once that said it is good for your heart to go without eating for a day every once in a while, but if you do it too often it isn't good anymore. not eating causes stress which may cause heart problems if you do this too often. go for it, you could reduce your chances of heart disease. but remember, too much of a good thing can become bad. good luck.
It's actually very healthy to go one day restricted to only liquids like water, and low sugar juices. Your body gets a chance to cleanse itself without having to worry about digesting the food you are eating.
I read several answers that say that it is very bad for you. It's not if you can do it the right way. You can go a full day without eating or drinking anything, or you can go the day with just drinking water. It's best not to eat or drink anything else. It's like a good cleaner for your body, so water does help. People say that your body goes on starvation mode and that it makes you gain a ton of weight in the next meal, but that's not the case if you eat the right things afterwards. Going a day without eating gives your stomach a day without exercise which means you have to eat things that are easy on your stomach first thing the next day. Fruits and vegetables would suffice. For lunch you can eat almost anything except for fast food or anything really tough to digest. Then you can eat normal again.
