What's up with my metabolism?

I'm 5 foot 7 and i only way 102 pounds and im 14. All my life i've had a super fast metabolism. I feel faint if i miss a meal, my ribs show, i dont have any eating disorders, my doctors say im perfectly healthy but what causes this? Im skinny no matter what i eat or do, i excersise normally, and i eat A LOT! It's awesome and i love it, but i was just wondering...

As you have stated, you have a high metabolism. The only reason for concern would be the faintness if you don't eat often enough. Discuss this with your doctor as this can indicate a hypoglycemic condition. You should try staying away from refined carbohydrates (sweets, white bread, white rice, potatoes and such) and see if it makes a difference. If so, you really (REALLY) need to bring that up with your doctor. Oh, and as for eating fatty foods to try to gain weight? Don't--even skinny people can get heart disease from a poor diet.

I didn't mean that i skip meals, but if i ever go five hours without eating i will feel a bit weak. When i eat, i have a pretty balanced diet plus i eat about four meals a day so it's rare that i'd ever go that long without food anyways. And i've never tried to gain weight because i'm perfectly happy with my figure.

That's very smart of you! Stick with that regimen and you'll outlive the majority of the junk-food addicts of America. The "Standard American Diet is sad indeed.
