Not quite, the Bible says that we (either men or women) are not supposed to dress in order to appear as the opposite sex. A woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman?s garment; for whosoever doeth these things is an abomination unto Jehovah thy God. (Deuteronomy 22:5 ASV) So for example, being a transvestite is wrong. However, if you are wearing clothing, even pants that are designed specifically for women, you are not wrong. Remember, when the Bible was written, both men and women wore specific types of robes, there were no pants. That is just a man made interpretation.

Here are some interesting rules from the bible: Don't wear clothes made of more than one fabric (Leviticus 19:19) Don't cut your hair nor shave. (Leviticus 19:27) Any person who curseth his mother or father, must be killed. (Leviticus 20:9) Have you ever done that? If a man cheats on his wife, or vise versa, both the man and the woman must die. (Leviticus 20:10). If a man has sex with a woman on her period, they are both to be "cut off from their people" (Leviticus 20:18) Psychics, wizards, and so on are to be stoned to death. (Leviticus 20:27) If a priest's daughter is a whore, she is to be burnt at the stake. (Leviticus 21:9) People who have flat noses, or is blind or lame, cannot go to an altar of God (Leviticus 21:17-18) Anyone who curses or blasphemes God, should be stoned to death by the community. (Leviticus 24:14-16) Not sure about the pants thing but it wouldn't surprise me.
Ok my grandfather was a minister when he was alive and although my grandmother never wore pants even under my grandparents roof I was aloud to wear pants however I think I did hear that rule at school when I was little and in privet school so um 1st maybe 2nd grade
St Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake for wearing men's clothing. It was the only crime the Church could convict her of. She had no choice, as she was in prison and those were the clothes given her.
The command for women not to wear men's clothing means that women should not try to deceive people into thinking they were men by masking their physical appearance with clothes worn exclusively by the opposite gender. It has to do with deception, not cultural styles of clothing. At the time, neither women nor men wore what are now called pants.
Jesus says all we have to do is love our neighbors and love God. All the rest of that stuff is old, and most of it was written by the rabbis, who were, more or less, the government at the time. So, wear what ever makes you comfortable.

God forbade women from wearing men's clothing and vice versa, Deut. 22:5. Now you need to decide if a particular garment is men's or women's. God did not give fashion advice, so the interpretation is open to cultural perspective. In some communities pants would not be ok for women because they show the outline of their legs. In other communities that's not considered immodest. Having said that, God commanded that off the Jews, His chosen People, and non-Jews are not obligated to keep God's commandments. That's why non-Jews can eat pork, but Jews don't. Rashi interpreted Deut. 22:5 to mean that the prohibition is from wearing the other gender's clothes to masquerade as the other gender, so that men would not go dressed like women to pass as women and vice versa.
Yes you can wear pants. Some of the old testament instructions were for the people of Israel at that time. They had to make sacrifices (which we don't do anymore) and actually they didn't even have pants back then. Everyone wore robes and long cloths (however you care to describe them haha) so yes. It is acceptable to wear pants as a Christian girl :) and If you're really worried about it, just make sure you're being modest :)
The bible says we should do slot of crazy things, particularly the old testament. Girls should bring doves to their priest on the days she's on her period, and guys cannot sit on the sane chair after a woman who is on her period. These are just a couple.
The Bible does not mention pants, and even if it did, that really doesn't mean anything. Paul specifically forbade that women braid their hair -- and yet do you see Christians mentioning this every time they see a girl with pig-tails? Fashions change, much of the Old Testament no longer applies, and the Bible, however inspired it may or may not have been, was taken down by mere mortals. It did not arrive by fax from Heaven.
Further, be suspicious of Fundamentalist wackos (like the Duggars). These are the people who will tell you that the world is 4,000 years old, humans were alive at the same time as dinosaurs, and women are here only as servants to men (however prettily they may phrase this last bit.)
Christian women can wear what they like, and should -- and don't let anyone tell you different.
In regards to Deuteronomy 22:5, God commanded that a woman should not wear a man’s garment, nor a man a woman’s mantle; this command doubtless being given in order to prevent sex abuses. This I believe is meant more as a woman trying to appear like or pretend to be a man. Sexual abuse it seems was also very popular even back then. Women were not to wear the clothing of a man or a man the clothing of a woman, a practice that might open the way for immorality, including homosexuality.
The old testament is dated to the time of sexism, where only men could dress as men and women should dress as women...fashion has changed since then so it is not wrong for a christian woman to wear pants.
i read the kjv and i know what your talking about.i dont wear pants unless i honestly have to and even then i wear sweat pants.i wear skirts that go to my knee and same with dresses and i dont show cleavege.i know what your talking about and i asked myself the same question along time ago.hope this will help you.
