They say that practice makes perfect, and here on Ask you'll find that you get many chances to practice getting your ideas across to folks who disagree with you. If you get bored some time, you can practice your technique on me anytime you see me kickin' around the site. I figure that if you can convince ME of the existence of your so-called "God", then you've got a pretty decent shot at convincing just about ANYone. Go ahead, hit me with your best shot ;)

Thanks Belly, I liked your answer too but couldn't think of anything to say after Yosey summed it up, haha :)

Blasted, you're a hero. Standing up there like a human target before the slings and arrows of outrageous zealots, you're an example to us all.

Thanks Dozy, but you give me too much credit. I knew that nobody would have any decent arguements to bring to the table, so I wasn't really too worried :)

Ask him how was the universe created, and how were organisms able to create humans and evolutionize to what humans are now, think about it, there is no way something could've been created without the beginning of something

You can't try to convince anyone there is a God. The simple truth is they have to find it out themselves. If they don't believe in God then it's there right to choose.

You don't. If they want your version of " truth" they will ask you for it. Most people don't enjoy others attempting to convert them.

I'm getting a bit tired of all the religious questions -- and now we have a brand new nutter on site. She's even more gormless than most. She'll fade away of course, but I hope it's soon.

We can only hope. I've counted two I'd like to see fade away.

It is much more difficult to convince anybody of anything than most people realize. Those who were raised to believe in God tend to continue believing in God, regardless of any evidence to the contrary. This is true not only for the Christian God, but also for Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, etc. Gods. Those who were raised to doubt in God and those who continue on to higher education tend to continue to doubt in God regardless of any intervention.

Ask God to show Himself. I don't think there are many atheists who would remain atheist if the Guy ever made a single appearance! Just one? No?

I see they still haven't fixed the bug where people can answer old questions, lol. Good answer though, I agree. :)

I only saw it because I answered it before. It sort of catches the eye when you see a question from nearly a month ago at the top of the "My Q@A" list. :)
