The note pad on my LT shows only gibberish, how can I put my notepad back the way it was when I bought it?

The notepads on my laptop come out as gibberish, random letters, numbers & symbols. And it seems every program I add goes to notepad. I think when I first got the computer I hit something that made this happen. How can fix it? I can't afford to take it in.

This problem can be brought up by different errors in your notepad. Some of these errors include a virus on the computer or hard drive failure. I would suggest that you consult your IT technician for more professional help
