What does it mean if you get cramps but no period?

I kind of freaked out when my period was two days late & I was having no symptoms of getting my period whatsoever. My boyfriend & I use no contraceptives, but we figured we didn't need to because we assumed he was infertile. Anyway, now, I'm cramping but theres been no sign of blood. Is this still considered a period? What should I do?

Cramping can be a sign of very early pregnancy. You should take a pregnancy test as soon as possible. Both my Mom and Dad were told they weren't able to have kids... And here I am. Assumed infertility is probably one of the worst forms of birth control I have ever heard of. Best of luck!

But it's the same exact type of cramping I always get before my period.

Thank you, thank you! ;)

I can only speak from my own experiences... I've been pregnant 4 times, and with every single pregnancy I've spent the first few weeks flat out KNOWING that my period was going to start any second. Even after I got positive results, I was still running to the toilet every five minutes expecting my period. It didn't come, of course, and I have three beautiful children and a current healthy 12 week pregnancy to show for the experiences. It could also be the beginning of your period, but there's really only two ways to know for sure... Wait it out, or buy a test.

Has your bf actually been tested for infertility, or are you making an assumption? Not always safe to assume these things....
