One way to find things you can use to spice up your decor is to go to your local Goodwill or other thrift store. You can find bedding, drapes, furniture, art, everything you need, and it's very reasonably priced. And, unlike picking something up at Target, what you get will be completely unique. Of course, once you find things you like, you'll need to paint your room in a color which goes with them. Happy Goodwill Hunting. Oh, and on that subject, look up "Mr Goodwill Hunting" at his blog at www.rashoncarraway.com --he's pretty sharp, and does gorgeous decorating with things he buys at (what else) Goodwill. He's a regular on the Nate Berkus show, and he's fun, too!

First step is to clean your room really well ... include dusting, windows, etc. ... Maybe some carpet fresh or a scented candle. Then you could add things like a new comforter, accent pillows .... Rearrange furniture .... look through some magazines for styles that you like ... and always try to use the things you already have.
