How has the Holocaust affect the United States and the World? What impact did it have ?

It had an enormous impact on the Jewish people, of course. Elie Wiesel said once that "The 11th Commandment is this: Thou shall not stand idly by." Sadly, we still stand idly by while rogue nations slaughter their own people (Syria), or one group of people slaughters another (Rwanda). I don't know when humans will ever learn that we ARE our brother's keeper.

Unfortunately very little. We still sit back on our laurels and watch the murders of groups of people. The latest is the murdering of Syrian citizens by their government.
