I worked as a server at Waffle House for a while. The training can be different depending on what location you are working in and who is training you. Basically they go over some safety rules and have you sign papers first. Then I got a tour of the store. Most of the training is done by shadowing someone. I followed around another server and helped them serve drinks and run food. This helps to familiarize you with the pace of the shift as well as gets you acquainted with the menu. The lady that trained me gave me about one day of shadowing before she let me start serving people and taking orders. As a trainee at Waffle House you should know that washing dishes is a big part of the job.
