Does the Equinox really affect people's moods?

Report as

Well, the way the changing of the seasons works for me is opposite of a lot of people.

I get happier in the winter. As spring approaches, I begin to dread how my life will be for the hot weather that comes in the spring afternoons and all day in the summer.

So, it's not the actual equinox or solstice, it's the weather changing and how the individual perceives weather. I hate summer weather because I can't ever get comfortable except sitting in a freezer.

I am actually the same way. Perhaps that's why my mood shifted poorly. I love the winter months, and am a complete night person. I choose clouds over sun.

Yes, reports have confirmed that the Equinox can affect people's moods when there is less sunshine. One may also experience sleeping problems, loss of libido and depressive symptoms, which are mostly seen in women.

I'm a woman and prefer less sunshine. I'm depressed when there's tons of sun because it makes it hotter outside.
