Where was Hockey Invented

It isn't a concrete fact, but it is believed that hockey was invented by British soldiers that were staying in Nova Scotia, Canada in the mid 1850's.

Early versions of hockey was played in France, England and other parts of Northern Europe. They believe that hockey was invented in the 1850's.
