Clearly as you can see from the current economic crisis that has been going on since 2007 and perpetrated by the Democrats, this theory does not work, and is now now considered practical, viable or a legitimate economic policy .

John Maynard Keynes was a British economist who believed that during recessions and depression, deficit spending could help in the revival of the national economies. Keynes ideas gave the then president of the U.S, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, inspiration that saw him come with the New Deal which was to provide relief, recovery and reformation.

You were right until you said that this economic way of thinking was what pulled the US out of the Depression. In fact it wasn't and the only thing that did was WW2.

John Maynard Keynes had giving the idea of deficit spending to Franklin D. Roosevelt to provide relief and reformation during the depression and the recession.
