A civil warrant is basically used in a civil court and commonly used when filing small claims. A civil warrant , the warrant in debt, is used when seeking a money judgment. The civil warrant, a warrant in detinue, is used by the plaintiff to obtain possession of a specific personal property that is being withheld by the defendant.
After the court has filed a judgement or order a civil warrant can be issued. The civil warrant is used to enforce the judgement or order. It is generally requested by the winner of the case and it directs the action to be taken by the loser.
