Technically, your oven does not use " amps" what it uses is watts to heat the elements,amps is the current that's permissable to run through the size of wire being used,and of course volts are the "umph" that pushes the watts through the wire. Typically the size of wire used for an oven is rated at 30 amps. And anywhere from 1000 to 1500 watts of power is used to heat the elements. It's the same principle as a light bulb!
