Hi Lexy. Here is a web site that can help answer your question: http://www.americanpregnancy.org/pregnancyhealth/catscans.html

CT scans are not recommended for women who are pregnant.

Take care! :~)

Yes. X-rays were once used during pregnancies before we had ultrasounds.

Yikes! The silly - and dangerous - things we used to do! Thank goodness for ultrasound! :~)

Yes. But they would prefer not to expose a fetus to unnecessary radiation. That's the beauty of ultrasound technology.

Most likely, but unless you're getting that done for something else that's more indicated for a CT Scan, that'd be a very costly and unnecessary way to find out if you're pregnant. On the other hand, if you're just trying to hide your pregnancy from someone who may be involved or present during your scan, then that may be a little tricky to pursue.

Yes but only if they were doing the CT scan to that specific area and also they can go layer by layer,so they would have to know how deep to go down, if they were doing leg or arm, then no it wouldn't show

A CT scan can detect pregnancy but after the second week of the pregnancy. It uses x-ray and this could harm the unborn child hence not advisable.Visit a health specialist for more details.
