How do i know if my dog has worms?

Recently my dog has been having these little red bumps covered with dry skin. Theres no bleeding just irritation. on the area where she has the bumps she seems to be having hair loss. I'm not sure if she might have a parasitic disease. Are there any other symptoms that i should be aware of? How do i know if she does have a parasitic disease and what should i do about her irritated skin?

The best thing to do is take your dog to the vet. They can do a skin scraping and determine if your dog has parasites and what stage of their life cycle the parasites may be in so they can correctly prescribe the appropriate medication. If it isn't a parasite problem, they can determine what is causing the problem whether it is medical or behavioral and let you know the proper course of treatment. I hope your dog gets to feeling better quickly!

How long had the rash been there? Generally worms are intestinal and do not cause outward appearances or rashes. It sounds to me like a hot spots or food allergies if this happens to be a 'here today gone next week back in a month' scinario it's probably seasonal allergies but if it's a constant it could b food allergies, what kind o food do u feed him/her? Alot of dogs developed allergies to grains, chicken, and beef, due tothe fact these are the most widely used products in foods these days,. If u think u may want to try something different I can give u lots of suggestions. But if u think it may still b a parasite checkthe dogs stool if u can clearly see worms in tue feces that's the sure fire way to know it's worms, they can look anything between small gains of rice to long thin strings , let me know if u think it's one or the other . U can always soothe the rash by bathing ur dog in an oatmeal dog shampoo or a milk bath as both are extremely moisturizing. And as always if the area continues to grow or gets worse to the point of bleeding or causing pain take em to the vet
