If I eat 2000 calories a day and work out 3 or more hours a day will I loose weight?
i am 16, female, 5'5, and 167 pounds. I am very over weight. I am a very competitive swimmer. I compete in national meets. I know I can do even better if I lost about 40 pounds. I practice 3+ hours a day, I am not sure exactly how many calories that is. I also know that you are supposed to eat 500 less calories than your bmr if you want to loose weight. my bmr is 1650. so I would be eating less than 1200 calories a day which is not healthy. so will eating 2000 calories a day plus workout at swim practice help me loose weight?
