Cream cheese is fine, especially for a growing body. It provides calcium and essential fats that the human body needs. Fats are as necessary to a healthy body as any other food group, and should not be completely eliminated from anyone's diet. Besides all that, cream cheese makes a great chip dip!
Cream cheese--especially the full-fat kind--is high in fat, and for the most part, it's saturated fat, so. While it tastes wonderful (especially schmeared on a bagel), it can't really be called "good for you". Its calcium content can better be gotten from a nice, tall glass of low-fat or nonfat milk. Cream cheese is better kept for an occasional treat.
