I need to recommend a book for my book club. Can anyone throw out some good ideas for me?

Some guidance would be helpful; fiction, non-fiction, biography, mystery....? Are there any restrictions?

The group is open to any suggestions. We've read fiction and non fiction. We're currently reading Cat's Cradle. We've read The Help. We're open to try new things and willing to leave our comfort zones, so any suggestions of a really interesting read would be appreciated

I recently read "The Ape House" by the same person who wrote "Water for Elephants" (sorry, but I can't remember the author's name - Gruen, maybe?). Well, I listened to it on audio, but still it was really good.

Thanks! I likes Water for Elephants. That was a book club read as well. I also love listening to audio books while I commute to work. I may try to find that one to listen to.
