Mash potatoes, lingonberry jam, baked brown beans, creamed cabbage & red onion, pea soup, pickled herring, Swedish Gratin potatoes, beetroot & horseradish apple salad

Sounds like I could eat Swedish meatballs every day but wouldn't notice because of the great variety of side dishes.

I can do lingonberry with Swedish pancakes but that's about it, I know it's tradional.

...and I have no idea what a "lingonberry" is! I'm having to Google it.

One would think my French Canadian history would reflect in me a strong background in "food content" - it's always such a treat to learn something new...Merci

Egg noodles first choice, rice 2nd choice.

Because I think of Swedish meatballs as a harty food best served in Fall and Winter, I like to serve a medley of "root vegetables" along with it.

Lingonberry jam mashed potatoes put some gravy on top corn or peas and a cherry pie for dessert :) oh and bread salad and pasta
