Yeah, my hair is straight too. If you go to Sally Salon shop; it's everywhere, I forgot the brand of what I have, but they have ALL kinds of hair products that can easily scrunch, curl, and even straighten your hair.
I speak from experience when I type this because I have straight hair too. Try this: spray mousse or hair spray on your hair. use curlers or a stick (the stick will vary in size depending how thick you want your curls to be) and curl your hair around it. Spray some more hair spray. Hold it in and put pressure. It should make your hair curly. It takes time and is very annoying sometimes, but it's a good, old-fashioned method. Also, for wavy hair try putting braids in your hair in a lot of pressure and really tight the night/ day before you want your hair to be wavy. Put hairspray on the braids. Take them out when wanted.
I know this won't help what so ever but you shouldn't be trying to change yourself, even physically. God made us this way and we should be happy the way we are. I have straight hair and went through the same phase but eventually gave up. Enough people in my grade straighten or curl their hair. If its straight they curl it, if its curly they straighten it. The question is, do you wanna be like everyone else or do you wanna be a natural, unique person cuz you don't follow the crowd. Point is, love the way you are.
But ya, in case you still don't care, a good volumizer/ mouse, or just curling your hair then using hair spray works (hairspray was my best friend when I went through this phase).
Mousse. That's how it's spelled and everything or you can braid it, leave it in for a night and then take them out, or you can pin curl it which is taking a strand of hair, twisting it and then pinning it down with a bobby pin. = ) Hope it helps.
For short term, take curling iron and roll smaller portions. Hold and spritz. Gel and mousse all work great but dont overdo..decent products go a long way. Funny reading comments...I have huge natural curl and straighten ! But getting over it. Natural is beautiful.
Steps 1 Lightly spray your hair with sea-salt spray and comb through hair. (or you can do this straight after showering) 2 Divide your hair into four sections by first halving the hair in the middle, then again on each half 3 Plait each of the four sections. It doesn't have to be be perfect. Slightly messy plaits will make the waves look more natural. 4 Wait until your hair is completely dry then undo the plaits and gently separate the waves with your fingers.
5 Spray lightly with a serum and lightly tousle.
6 Hair will take longer to dry when in plaits, so it may take from 1-2 hours to 8-9, depending on the thickness and texture of hair.
7 For best results, moisturise and plait nightly, or whenever you get the chance
