If i use 12x12 floor tile i need 48 tiles so if i use 6x36 planks instead how many planks do i need ?

how many 6x36 planks will it take to cover same amount of floor that 48 pieces of 12x12 tiles will cover?

The area of one tile is 12 x 12, which is 144 and you need 48 of them, meaning the total area is 144 x 48, which is 6912. The planks area is 6 x 36, which is 216 and the total area is 6912. Take 6912 and divide it by 216 to get 32 planks.

32 is what I got

12x12=144 square inches
48 of them is 6912 square Inches
6x36=216

6912 divided by 216=32
