Gatorblu is definitely on the right track as far as answering your question. Believe it or not, no matter how positive one thing looks, there's always a down side to it. And, no matter how bad (or negative) something looks, there's always an up side. The only difference between good and bad situations is, one outweighs the other. In some scenarios, tremendously! Let me give you an example. Say your dog just got hit by a car. Bad news, your dogs dead. Good news, I just saved a bunch of money on car insurance by switching to Geico!

It means if something bad happens, find something good to take away from it. Like if a tree falls on your garage, that's a bad, negative thing. The fact your car was not in the garage is a positive thing.
