How to get a cat to lose weight?

I have several cats who are normal weight but one cat who is getting a belly on her. She was rescued as a starving kitten. I usually just leave food out so they can eat when ever they want.

1. are you just the same guy that asked about the violent shows? 2. I am glad to see there are certainly 2 sides to your personality! 3. If she was a stray, she may be bloating because of worms, and/or malnutrition. If she is "hoarding" she is worried she will starve. we know she won't, be she doesnt'. But really, remover her from the others if you can. I don't want to put this out there, but she may have leukemia. It's really contagious. call a vet and see what they say. There are clinics for free. Good luck my friend to you and your cats!

I write sometimes as quickly, as I think (sometimes that's a little slow too!) I feel badly for saying like "hey guy, are you.." I'm sure you and your kitties will do great! Have a great day and have fun on vacation. :)

Unless you want to put ALL the cats on a feeding schedule, there's no way you're going to stop her from eating whenever she wants.

Only a human makes them gain, only a human can make them lose. You know what you have to do.

Try healthy weight food for all your cats, but if she was a starving kitty it's going to be hard.

I have three cats and always leave food out too. They regulate themselves pretty well after they figure out the food isn't going away. During the first few months after adoption when they were prone to stuffing themselves I just played with them more. It just burned that fat right off and they bonded too. They were all adopted at different times.

Give it a timed feeding schedule, like 7am and 7:30 pm or something. Also, try to see what type of toy your cat likes most and let her play with it. For example, if it's string, run holding a long string around your house for your cat to run after you
