The best way is to do what is called carb counting. To do this you can find a book at the library that gives the ammount of carbs for each food item. Once you have the book so you know the ammount of carbs, you next must set a goal of how many carbs to intake, this requires a trip to the doctor office and ask him/her as the best ammount to consume. My wife is on a 45 carb meal and she has lost 23 lbs AND i have lost 15 lbs. Best of luck to you.
