Has anyone taken medication for an under active thyroid? If so, what kind of side effects did you experience on medication?

how long did the side effects last and how long until you started to feel better? thank you.

I'm on medication now for this. From the medication, I've had no side-effects but that doesn't mean your not. I would contact my pharmacist and ask him/her; they are able to tell you what is related and what is of concern.

Some of the side effects of under active thyroid include: itching and skin rash, gastric upset, abnormal sensations and loss of taste. Other effects are drowsiness, vomiting, severe loss as well as joint and muscle pains.

I've definitely got the loss of taste but also my legs feel like water, and I'm really emotional. I've only been on medication for a week but I feel so weird. That's the only word I can think of.
