I love history...learning and knowing how the past generation paved the way for everyone's future. Seeing it from their perspective? makes me feel like being there, appreciating it more. Then sharing it with today's generation to inspire and motivate.
Imagine, if we hadn't know and just moved on after einstein, hitler, lincoln, justin bieber. All of those people. helped show us how to do things better.

If you wish to use WWII as an example ... School kids are "taught" that the Japanese attacked us without cause. While the truth is both the Japanese and Germans had good reasons to attack us before we "officially" entered the war.
whatever problems you have seen regarding the public school system does not necessarily mean all of history is "BS" as you say, you have so much pent up anger against the institution?..are you on your period or something?
History (though very important) is often merely thinly veiled propaganda, especially middle and high school history; Though the US is hardly alone in this respect. Pre university education is designed to make people functioning members of the society in which they live, so it includes a rather large dose of patriotism and not much in the way of critical objective thought.

Health, Sex Ed. So many of todays youth are just so oblivious to std's and parents dont know how to talk to their kids about it. Its more than jus about sex and finding that "one" person, its about knowing you, and when faced with a problem how to handle it.
I am not saying go out there and have sex with everybody, but lets be realistic, these kids need information, not someone who will judge them
Ok, u tell ur kids to wait til marriage, and I'll protect mine from drowning. There's way too much sex shown on tv and kids speak about it with their friends and they know nothing.
I had my sex talk with my oldest son when he was 12. I am very open with all my sons and when they ask questions, I answer them. We sit at the kitchen table and just talk about normal, everyday stuff. I love that he can feel comfortable in talking to me and his dad. He doesnt have a girlfriend, but when he does, I know that he is well informed and can never say "i didnt know" or "mom and dad didnt tell me".
Kids aren't playing barbie, be realistic. Yes, 12 is too young for sex, but not too young to be informed of the consequences and the options u have. Just cuz u dont talk about sex, doesnt mean they arent gonna do it.
Please dont get me wrong; I am not teaching kids to have sex, my answer was to teach them about sex. The std's that even virgins can get when they have sex with someone who is not a virgin. That aids and herpes are diseases for life and cannot be cured.
While abstinence is an option so is being informed about options. If a couple should choose to wait til marriage, then that is something that they choose, but it is not the only option.
All creatures have sex and were created by God. Sex is not a gift from god, its a way of reproducing. The baby that is created is the gift. Roaches have sex, its not a gift. We have a brain that we control.
Sex is a special bond between 2 people that is making their relationship deeper. When sex is involved it changes everything.
I have 3 boys and a neice that I am raising. Each will decide when to have sex and each will be able to make a smart decision after I have spoken to them as their mom and given them all options, facts, and personal opinion about sex before their friends can.
I will not let a teacher inform my children about sex before me-absolutely not! I would rather they learn about love and sex from their mom and dad, who are in a long, loving, beautiful marriage for the past 16 yrs :) Thank u

This is a good question, my first thought was PE/Health, (I love sports so I'd probably coach too)...but I have so many interests. Science, Biology, Literature, History...Like I said, good question, lol.
