Since you said it's lost in the house, there's really no way to "track" it (because if you did all it would show up as would be your address!). I'm guessing the only to find it would be to clean your house all over and concentrate on the last place you had it. Hope this helps, and good luck finding it! :)
Look for it? But seriously, there is something in your computer on iTunes for tracking your iPod when you lose it. If you registered your iPod correctly, it should tell you where it is. Not an exact place like "under your bed" but like an address. Hope it help but that's all I could think of. Also, ask anyone if they have seen it lately :)
