Breech means that the baby is not head-first in the birth canal. It usually means it is feet-first, which is the opposite direction required for a safe & normal delivery.

As for having a healthy baby/pregnancy, NO DRUGS/ALCOHOL, go to ALL Dr.'s appt's & follow their advice, & read, read, READ (whether on the Internet or books).

It is when the baby is not turned in the proper position for birth. The baby should turn so that it will be born "head first" but sometimes they don't, causing the baby to be "feet first"
To ensure the healthiest pregnancy possible, you really need to see an ob/gyn. Prenatal vitamins, proper diet, proper rest, and common sense (no alcohol, drugs, excessively heavy lifting, etc) are crucial!

Ok I'm 13 so i will try to answer your question!...

Breech birth means that the baby isn't in the perfect position "head first" towards the..."oven door"!, yea that!..anyway mostly it just means your baby's feet is turned towards the oven door but sometimes the baby can be turned sideways as well so it's not always feet first. As you know, the head should be first to receive oxygen as quickly as possible!
Sometimes a couple months before delivery the baby is likely to turn on it's own!

But the best way to keep your baby safe is to keep your body healthy for as no smoking or drinking of any kind accept for juice and stuff like that of course! I hope I could answer your question & If you are having a baby i wish you luck and a safe delivery! ;)
