my htc sensation 4g doesn't play my music clear until I make a call. before then it plays at phone call quality. please help fix.

I am using the default music app for my phone

Your HTC sensation is probably faulty and need replacement. You can take it back to the store you bought it from and ask for it to be checked out. If you still have a warranty on it, they will repair it for you without any charges or they will give you a new one.
