Does the nook color come with free books and if so how many? What kind?

The Nook Color can support EPUB and PDF eBooks in Adobe DRM so you are not restricted to just Barnes and Nobles eBook store. One can find eBooks from a broad range of eBook stores and still get free eBooks from local libraries by means of a service called Overdrive. It also supports DRM-free EPUB and PDF eBooks downloaded from a range of free eBook websites.
