What can I do to increase my 2 year daughter's hair growth?

My daughter is 2 years and 5 months and does not seem to have much hair on her head...most of the hair she does have is pretty thin, as to my friends and family's kids (around the same age) have plenty of hair. Is there anything that might be delaying the hair growth? Any tips or home remedies I can do to increase the hair growth? please help. By the way I love her just the way she is, i'm just a little concerned.

It's normal for some children's to hair to grow slow, or even look thin.

People say hair grows 1/4 inch every month but, children's hair grows a little faster.

I get the mine trimmed every six weeks because it grows 1 and 1/2/ inch per month.

My cousin's hair was thin, looked like it had balding spots on her head and was way above collar length. My aunt was worried. I suggested that she trim just a tiny fraction off the bottom because the ends were all split real bad. She did and it started growing faster in two weeks. She was almost three years old. Three months later it had grown two inches longer and no bald spots on her head. It was so shiny and healthy looking. She had blond hair. Six months after the trim her hair had grown almost six inches. It's still blond and pretty and she's 35 now.

It's not uncommon for it to take a long time for hair to grow on little ones. You can as well try out diets that have protein, which will encourage hair growth and vitamin B will help the protein absorb better and also give her a well balanced diet.

Children develop on their own schedule. Trying to get your child to grow hair, walk, talk, get teeth at the same rate as other kids is impossible. Their bodies, minds and systems are individual. If you are concerned - evaluate her diet and ask her pediatrician. I didn't get hair until in was almost five! Pictures of this cute little bald girl smiling are on my mantle. I am way older now and, although my hair is fine - I have a full head of it. My daughter didn't get her first tooth until she was 18 months. She is an adult now with a great set of teeth. No two children are the same. It is rarely reason to worry. But check with your pediatrician just in case.
