The moon would be absorbed into the sun. The sun might not be harmed, but it would have to be pretty darn close. If the moon just flew off into the sun, life might not be too affected by it.,IMO just no more moonlight sonatas :(
They would both probably blow up and then we would die because there wouldn't be heat because the sun would be gone or chunks of the moon and sun would fly at us really fast and kill us that way, or both.
We would all have been toasted long before the sun hit the moon. Our sun is 150 million kilometers from earth--more or less (the distance varies with our solar system's orbits), but our moon is only around 390 THOUSAND kilometers from our earth (again, the mileage varies with orbital movement). If you think about how bad a sunburn you can get from that sun of ours, even from 150 Million km away. Just imagine how bad a burn you'd get from it, up close and personal, so to speak.
then the Earth would burn, along with most of the other planets, but we would be dead by then because once it close, global warming, and intolerable heat start up, so if it hit the moon the moon would burn along with us.
