A black hole is an all consuming vortex that forms when any object collapses in on itself due to mass. There are 3 kinds. The bigger ones are often considered the best suited for going into if possible. They are invisible for the gravitational pull is so strong not even light can escape. No one has ever been in one, and no one knows where they lead. They can squeeze matter into an infentesimaly small singular mass. They are very dangerous. there is one at the center of the milky way.
It is a star of the largest size that has collapsed in on itself. It has been compressed into a small area of immense gravity. The gravitational pull is so strong that nothing can escape, not even light, hence the name. It can also warp and bend light that passes near, but not near enough to be sucked in, it. This can help us see where they are located, because we cannot see them. Also: if we can see the things being sucked in, we can use that to locate them in space. Say you are being sucked into one, feet first. Your feet have MUCH more gravity pulling on them then your head. As a result, every molecule in your body would be stretched like a spaghetti noodle. This process is called Spaghettification. Once you reach the event horizon, the surface of the black hole, it would look, looking in from the outside, like you have stopped completely, when really, you're going infinitely slowly. What you'd see inside is w mystery. If you were to look out side of the black hole while falling in, you'd see all this light and matter rushing in with you. Some scientists believe that inside a black hole, is a WHITE hole, like another Big Bang. Black hole can come together and become larger, until they make a Super Massive Black Hole. These are in the center of most galaxies, including ours. When a S.M.B.H. has sucked in so much matter, it releases a beam called a quasar, that is PURE energy. This blows away the remaining gases that it has been sucking in.
