What are the regulations regarding the trapping of crayfish in New York state?

I've checked the DEC website and there is nothing about crayfish at all mentioned, other than bass eat them. I'm trying not to break any laws through ignorance, so any insight as to regulations and limits etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Thank you but I have checked every nook and cranny of that website and can find nothing about any regulation concerning the crayfish, at all. I had heard that there was no regulation on them as they are " bait fish" and all you need is a fishing licence to collect them. I just wanted to verify that. But i do thank you very much for your reply.

Thanks! Only 15 pounds though they run up to 55 pounds where I live. I need a bigger one this year!
