I have a family of squirrels in my attic. We have tried fox scent, they are still there.

It is going take a lot of green leafy substance with pods, preferable the kind grown in an environment like northern california. When you try to smoke them out, be prepared, eat something first. They are much smaller than you so the smoke will effect them more. A human should be able to smoke out a squirrel. Once they have become comatose, remove them and make sure that you block the way they got in, or they will come back and the next time you try and smoke them out, they will have a greater tolerance and it might be you that is removed from the attic.

Good Luck!

(no actual squirrels were harmed in the writing of this post)

Use repellents. The idea behind these repellents is that they simply create an unpleasant scent that squirrels dislike, which encourages them to leave. This works especially when a female squirrel is concerned about having a safe place to raise her young. You could also set traps to catch them. You could seek the help of a professional if the above do not work.
