Does the world get smaller by using social networks?

Social networks have made the world smaller. This is because; I can easily know what events are taking place in any given place at the click of a button. Also, I can easily talk to a person who is in Australia while in in Africa or Asia.

It is getting smaller because of connections. You may discover you are connected to people in ways that you would not have otherwise been aware of.
