To get started when writing a children's book, decide on the topic. Next, find a simple setting that a kid could understand. Think of a simple event or conflict. Be sure to put a child or children at the center of the story and it should always end happily. When copyrighting the book, submit two copies of your work. The book will not be returned, so do not send your only copy. Use the given shipping slip if you presented your registration online or be sure to include a completed copyright form if you did not register online.
